Practice Areas
More than paperwork
We are a full-service immigration firm. These are the six areas we work in. Open any of them to see what it covers and whether your situation fits.
If the government has started a process to remove you from the United States, your case goes before an immigration judge. That process has its own deadlines, hearings and requirements, and what is decided there can change your life and your family's.
We represent you at every hearing, review your full immigration history and look for every defense and form of relief you may be entitled to. We also handle detained cases, including bond requests.
Is this your situation?
- You received a Notice to Appear before the Immigration Court
- A family member is in immigration detention and you need help urgently
- You have a prior removal order and want to know whether your case can be reopened
- An application was denied and you are now in proceedings before a judge
- You need to appeal a decision you believe is unfair
There are legal protections designed for people who have suffered harm or who are in danger if they return to their country. Each one has different requirements and deadlines you do not want to let pass.
We go through your story carefully and in confidence, tell you honestly what options you have, and prepare your application with the documents and testimony that support it.
Is this your situation?
- You left your country because of persecution, violence or threats and you are afraid to return
- You suffered domestic violence from a spouse or relative who is a resident or a citizen
- You were the victim of a crime in the United States and cooperated with the authorities
- You arrived as a minor without your parents
- You were a victim of human trafficking or labor exploitation
A citizen or lawful permanent resident can petition for certain relatives so they can obtain residency. The path changes depending on the family relationship, the country of origin and whether the person is inside or outside the United States.
We explain which route applies to your case, how long it usually takes and what is needed, and we handle the whole process: the petition, the adjustment of status or consular processing, and any waivers required.
Is this your situation?
- You are a citizen and want to petition for your spouse, children or parents
- You are a permanent resident and want to petition for your spouse or unmarried children
- You married a U.S. citizen and want to adjust your status
- Your relative is outside the country and the process has to go through the consulate
- You need a waiver for unlawful presence or another ground of inadmissibility
Naturalization is the last step of the immigration journey. It requires meeting the residency period, showing good moral character and passing the English and civics tests, with exceptions for certain ages and conditions.
We review your record before filing anything, because a poorly prepared application can put at risk the residency you already have. We prepare you for the interview and go with you to it.
Is this your situation?
- You have met the time as a resident and want to apply for citizenship
- You have questions about long trips, taxes or your record
- Your naturalization was denied before and you want to try again
- You want to know whether your children already acquired citizenship automatically
- You need a waiver of the English test because of age or a medical condition
There are several paths for someone who wants to invest or open a business in the United States, and they do not all require the same amount or the same type of company. The right option depends on your nationality, your investment and your plans over the next few years.
We look at your project before recommending a path, put together the business plan and the financial documentation, and support you through the application and the renewals.
Is this your situation?
- You want to buy or open a business in the United States and move here with your family
- You already have a company in your country and want to open a branch here
- You are from a treaty country and want to know whether you qualify
- You are looking to invest in a project that leads to permanent residency
- You need to renew or extend an investor visa you already hold
Work visas connect a company that needs someone with a person who has the training or the skill for that role. There are categories for professionals, for temporary workers and for people with outstanding achievements in their field.
We work on both sides of the table: with companies that want to hire and with professionals looking for a path. We prepare the petition, the supporting documentation and, where it applies, the labor certification.
Is this your situation?
- A U.S. company wants to hire you and needs to sponsor your visa
- You are a professional with a degree and want to know which category fits you
- You have outstanding achievements in your field: science, art, sports or business
- Your company needs temporary workers for a season
- You already work here on a visa and want to move to permanent residency
