What it covers

A citizen or lawful permanent resident can petition for certain relatives so they can obtain residency. The path changes depending on the family relationship, the country of origin and whether the person is inside or outside the United States.

We explain which route applies to your case, how long it usually takes and what is needed, and we handle the whole process: the petition, the adjustment of status or consular processing, and any waivers required.

Is this your situation?

If you recognize yourself in any of these situations, there is a good chance we can help:

  • You are a citizen and want to petition for your spouse, children or parents
  • You are a permanent resident and want to petition for your spouse or unmarried children
  • You married a U.S. citizen and want to adjust your status
  • Your relative is outside the country and the process has to go through the consulate
  • You need a waiver for unlawful presence or another ground of inadmissibility

This list is not exhaustive. If your situation is not here, write to us anyway: many cases fall under more than one area.
